PDNA Board Meeting Preview: Key Discussions for December

The Pearl District Neighborhood Association (PDNA) Board will convene this week for its final meeting of the year, featuring a packed agenda focused on public safety, neighborhood development, and strategic planning for 2026.

Meeting Details

  • Date & Time: Thursday, December 11th, 2025 – 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Location: PNCA Hammer Board Room (#237) at 511 NW Broadway & Zoom

On the Docket: Safety, Shelters, and Leadership

The two biggest conversations on the docket touch on issues critical to the Pearl District:

  1. Public Safety Check-In: Get the latest on public safety directly from the front lines with updates from the Portland Police Department (PPD) and the Northwest Community Committee (NWCC), featuring Officer Brent Maxey and Chase McPherson.
  2. Pearl Shelter and Homelessness: The President’s Report will include a focused discussion on the Pearl Shelter. Linda Witt and Wilfred Pinford will provide crucial updates on the shelter's operation, including mapping and reporting efforts.
  3. New Leadership: The meeting will officially welcome Sean Sweat into a key leadership role as the new Chair of the Planning & Transportation Committee.

Wrapping Up the Year and Looking Ahead

The board will review the year-end financials from Treasurer Miriam Counts and hear from all their hard-working committees:

  • Committee Goals: Committee chairs, including those from Livability & Safety, Parks, Clean Team, and E-PREP, will present a "three-month forward look," giving the community a preview of their activities planned for the start of 2026.
  • Branding & Vision: The Livability & Safety Committee (Judie Dunken, David Ludwig) is even bringing a discussion about a New Logo to the table!
  • Broader Impact: Glenn Traeger will provide updates on the Navigation Center and the District 4 Coalition Report, linking the PDNA's work to wider city efforts.

The meeting will conclude with time for Public Comments, so please come prepared with any neighborhood questions or concerns for the board. We look forward to seeing you there!
