Art X Sports is the theme of this year's Portland Arts Week!

Portland Arts Week is here, and Saturday is the big one for our neighborhood: a full day of free, family-friendly activity filling both the North and South Park Blocks, right through the heart of the Cultural Corridor.
**Park Blocks Activations**
10 a.m.–5 p.m. | North & South Park Blocks | Free, no registration needed
- Pickleball, bocce, and basketball clinics for kids
- All-day street soccer tournament
- Skateboarding demos
- Street mural painting
- Poetry readings
- Open artist studios
**Street Soccer USA Clinic** — The Fields Park. Free youth soccer clinic bringing the neighborhood's newest park into the Arts Week action.
**Asphalt Art Community Painting Day** — Portland Art Museum (1219 SW Park Ave). Join the City Repair Project in helping paint Yinka Ilori's *Mountains Full of Blessings* mural.
**Evening of Performance** — Darcelle Plaza, 5:30–7:30 p.m., free. Portland Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Franklin High School Dance, tap, break dancing, and original poetry.
This is exactly the kind of park activation we've been hoping for with Re-Ignite the Pearl — a great chance to see the Park Blocks full of life and to support the 16 galleries and cultural spaces participating across the district. Bring the family, grab lunch from a nearby business, and stay for the evening performances.
