Isobel's Garden urban farming April 2013

Zimmerman Community Center gives people a chance to get their hands dirty! Isobel’s Garden is growing into its new space at NW 14th and Raleigh. A dozen raised garden beds are cared for by as many families, and our community support from Hoyt Street Properties and Keen Footwear is invaluable. Seasoned volunteer Sarah Iskowitz is coordinating the new space. Meanwhile, Northwest Community Garden has been abloom for nearly a decade. For information on both, contact


Dance Party, Kim, two girls, one boy

The Zimmerman Community Center Dance Party, held on April 7, raised nearly $9,000 to support our After School Program, A.S.A.P. We continue to welcome generous underwriting from individuals and businesses to make high quality, affordable childcare available. Only $210 provides full support for one month of after school care.
