We know you share our concern about the livability on our city streets, sidewalks, public transportation and park areas. We have each encountered countless examples of rude, unsavory, and even threatening behaviors walking around downtown Portland. It’s become enough of an issue that many businesses are concerned about their viability, and it increasingly affects Portland’s reputation with locals, tourists, visiting businesses and others.
The Downtown Public Safety Advisory Committee (DPSAC) asked us to work toward solutions. We believe that working together we can effect positive changes to make Portland a safe, comfortable place for everyone who shares our public spaces. It’s time to stand together and make Portland better! What are we doing and how can you help?
Please come to our Portland Civility Summit, a presentation and discussion that will discuss the problem, show potential solutions and allow you to help, if you can.
