On Saturday, October 26th, 2013  81 residents and friends of the Pearl District helped at the bi-annual Polish the Pearl. Beginning with coffee at Peet’s Coffee on NW Couch, the teams spread out across the district sweeping and cleaning. 56 bags of trash and eight bags of recyclables were collected and delivered to Legacy Good Sam for disposal. Groups included Waterfront Pearl, the Pearl Rotary, and Way To Happiness teams, as well as PDNA members. Chipotle on NW Lovejoy provided burritos to the workers at the close of the event. It was fun!

Thank you Legacy, Peet’s Coffee, CMI, MSI, SOLVE, NWNW, Whole Foods, and Chipotle for a successful event.

If you weren’t able to participate this time, please contact the Livability Committee Chair Joan Pendergast at jpenderx@me.com to get in on the fun in the spring of 2014!
