At our upcoming annual board meeting in October, we will need to fill several board member positions. If you are interested or know someone you’d like to nominate, now is the time. We need to receive all nominations by September 30 in order to have time to review each candidate before the meeting.

You can fill out the form below or download the PDF and deliver it in person to Patricia Gardner at either the Board meeting, Planning Committee meeting, Emergency Preparedness meeting, Livability Committee meeting, or the Pearl Party (see Calendar under Get Involved for dates, times and locations). You can also email the form to Patty ( or Kate Washington (

If you email to make a nomination for someone else, please include their contact information.

Business or Employer

Why do you want to serve on the board of the PDNA?

What qualifications and/or experience would you bring to the board that would benefit the PDNA (i.e., experience in management, finances, committees, civic organizations, etc.)?

Participation is important. Board meetings are every 2nd Thursday of the month. If you join the executive board (president, vice president and committee chairs), they meet the morning of the 1st Thursday each month. Further, board members are expected to participate in a committee (which meet 1 or 2 times per month) and help plan the Pearl Party (planning starts around May for the September party). Will you be able to meet these participation requirements?

Are you able to work well with others and follow a consensus decision-making model?

Can you support policies, if approved by the majority of the board, even if you were not in favor of the policy?

Can you represent the entire association without personal bias?

Are you interested in serving on the executive board (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer)?

What do you see as the most important association issues and goals that the PDNA should address over the next year?

What do you like most about living, working or owning a business in the Pearl District?
