Sanitation and Drinking Water After a Disaster

Emergency Preparedness Round Table #2
Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 5:30 pm RSVP now

Location: The Pinnacle Pavilion
1210 NW 10th Ave, Portland OR 97209

What’s your plan after a disaster? Response agencies at our last round table explained that Pearl residents may be isolated and on their own for days after a disaster. This Emergency Preparedness Round Table teaches you what to do when water and sewage service is not available. Learn simple and practical steps to ensure your home or workplace can manage until utilities are restored.

Mathew Lipponcott and Molly Danielsson of The Cloacina Project will share brilliantly simple and effective ideas to assure safe and hygienic sanitation after a disaster. These plans can be used in your unit, for an entire building, or a business location. And, you won’t believe how little it costs!

Chad Withrow of Water Department Emergency Management tells you where to find drinkable water and how to ensure it’s safe — all without gas or electricity.

We’ve had tremendous response for this session. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot now.

Our goal is to help Pearl District residents be prepared for emergencies and situations unique to those living in vertical high-density communities. Questions? Call Jan Valentine at 503/ 715-2822.
