A.S.A.P. -- our After School Program -- began on February 4 and participation has been strong. Our After School Program is affordable, and also benefits from the partners we have developed in the community, including Free Arts Northwest, Volunteer Grandparents, Northwest Children’s Theater, and Engineering with Kids. We are ensuring that this is accessible to all children, ages 4-7. Contact Melissa at email@example.com for more information.
Our garden spaces beautify the Pearl District, and we are lucky to have two. The Northwest Community Garden is under the 405, at NW 15th and Johnson, and thanks to Hoyt Property, we are moving Isobel’s Garden to its new space at the corner of NW 14th and Raleigh (just across the street from the Ramona). Keen Footwear has been instrumental in moving raised beds from our former space at 10th and Overton. Look for announcements on Facebook about openings for the garden spaces.
Write Around Portland began a free series for Ramona and Sitka residents on Feb. 12. Thanks to Mamie Stafford for organizing this. Look for their sharing stories on May 22 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Goose Hollow.
We make our space available for private parties. It's especially good for birthdays for younger children. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to make this happen.
ZCC continues to grow and strengthen, in no small part thanks to the generosity of local businesses. We are pleased to announce the election of three new Board members: Michele Hunt of Albina Community Bank, Emily Vedaa of Keen Footwear, and Jen Keesey of A Little Bird LLC. We invite you to be part of this exciting, evolving, and energizing organization, simply contact Kris Moore to learn more.
Please attend this open house to preview the Portland Bureau of Transportation's proposed plan for the Pearl District. Your input is needed! This will affect pedestrians, cyclists, drivers and transit riders - in other words, everyone who lives or works in the neighborhood!
