Stan Penkin

President

Stan moved from NY fifteen years ago and never looked back. During that time, he has been actively engaged in the community including Chairmanship of two HOA Boards; Board Member of Portland Center Stage; Co-Founder of the Oregon Arts and Culture PAC (artPAC); board member of the Creative Advocacy Coalition; a seven-year member of the Portland Plan/Comprehensive Plan Community Involvement Committee; Chair of the Arts Oversight Committee; and Board Secretary of both Friendly Streets and Boom Arts. He is currently President of Oregon Children’s Theater, President of the Pearl District Neighborhood Association, and on the Board of NWNW Coalition. Most recently he has been appointed to the Bureau Advisory Committee of the Office of Community and Civic Life. Stan is an avid supporter of the arts and an advocate for livability and good communications. “I want to help PDNA and the neighborhood seek improvements where necessary while maintaining the core values that keep the Pearl vibrant, strong, and a wonderful place in which to live, work and play.”
